Kenya University Staff Union has issued a 7-days ultimatum to Egerton University Council over unpaid staff salaries.
KUSU in a statement to members of the press noted that the Institution’s Council has failed to implement the CBA.
The Union’s Secretary General Charles Mukhwaya said if no action is taken to address the staff grievances, then they will have no other move but to down their tools of trade.
“We are serving the University Council with a notice of strike.Let the workers be paid all their dues or we down tools as from Wednesday” said Mukhwaya.
The Institution of Higher learning has been in conflict with workers an academic staff for many years over collective bargaining agreement implementation.
