Non Governmental organization Dandelion Africa last week celebrated the Trainers of Trainers (TOTs) from Narok East Sub-county.
This is a team of Passionate Advocacy champions trained by Dandelion Africa on the advocacy toolkit.
According to the NGO, the advocacy toolkit includes Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) prevention, human rights, and community resource lobbying.
These TOTs are key as they have been driving transformative change in their community, successfully advocating for key developments such as the construction of a secondary school, the grading and murraming of roads, and the renovation of a dispensary.
Their efforts have improved education and healthcare outcomes, reduced SGBV cases, and significantly curbed Female Genital Mutilation practices in the area.
Beyond these achievements, the TOTs have become trusted advisors in their community, guiding members on how to engage leaders and where to report SGBV cases.
Their commitment to creating a safer, healthier, and more empowered community is truly inspiring.
Dandelion Africa runs various community programs in several counties among them Nakuru and Baringo.
Their programs touches on health, economic empowerment for communities and youth.
