Wendo Electricity Project to benefit over 500 households

Newly commissioned Wendo Electricity Project in Kabatini Ward of Bahati Constituency will benefit over 500 households

The project launched next to Wendo Vocational Training Centre will also benefit the institution that is key in shaping youth livelihood.

The Project was commissioned on Friday September 19, 2025 by Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi in company of area MP Irene Njoki, Nakuru County Deputy Governor David Kones, Kabatini MCA Leah Wambui among others.

The CS was categorical that government is committed towards ensuring all households are connected to the national grid.

On her part, MP Njoki stated that the project is now lighting up over 500 households and powering Wendo Polytechnic, a major step in expanding access to reliable energy for the people.

The Lawmaker added that this is a promise fulfilled.

She added that she remains committed to ensuring that no area is left behind.

The event was also graced by Kabatini Ward MCA Leah Wambui among others.
