No more files as USAID boosts county’s digitization of healthcare

Those seeking health services in various public hospitals in Nakuru county will no longer have to buy file for documentation.

This follows a collaboration between county government of Nakuru and USAID towards digitization of healthcare.

USAID has donated to the county government of Nakuru  various items among them computers towards the same.

Speaking after receiving the items,Nakuru County CEC for health Dr.Kariuki Gichuki said the items from USAID worth 31 million shilings will boost the health sector in terms technology in service delivery.

“We want to commend USAID even as we look forward to digitize all our services” said Dr.Gichuki.

Under the program,the county government has set aside 20 million shillings at the first phase.

Hospitals being targeted include Naivasha, Molo and Keringet among others.

The move will see paper work done away with as far as service delivery is concerned I the health sector in Nakuru county.
