Keongo Stadium in Kericho County was a beehive of activities on Thursday November 7, 2024 as Nakuru based Humanitarian Ambassador Rani Ramchandani through Rani Ramchandani Foundation partnered with Isma Foundation to donate mobility assistance items to Persons living with disability(PWDs).
The PWDs received items such as Tricycles, Crutches, Wheelchairs and White canes.
A donation of sanitary pads to the female PWDs was also made.
Speaking during the event, Ms Rani Ramchandani called for the need to embrace PWDs in society.
She pointed out that the PWDs are individuals who abled differently and can do great if supported.
Rani who is also the founder of Rani Ramchandani Foundation and the current President Lions Club of Menengai reiterated her commitment towards ensuring a better environment for PWDs.
While commending her team for the support, She called on well wishers to join in the journey of making better society for all PWDs.
“We can do great if we join hands. Let’s play our little part in making a better society for PWDs,” she stated.
Sentiments echoed by host MCA Issack Matker- the Founder of ISMA Foundation.
The Nominated MCA lauded Team Rani Ramchandani for the gesture and vowed to continue with such partnership that aims to ensure the welfare of PWDs is taken care of.
“There is nothing as good as such partnership of putting a smile on the faces of PWDs who many a times are left behind,” he stated.
It should be noted that the MCA is the first MCA in Kericho to partner with Rani Ramchandani Foundation to address PWDs Welfare in Kericho County.
The first time nominated legislator, representing minorities, has also taken a lead role in disability matters.
The Honorable MCA expressed unwavering support to the welfare of PWDs and partnership with all donors and National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD).
The event was also graced by PWDs Ambassador in Kericho County Mr. Phillip Muge who seized the opportunity to extend invitation to all to attend International Day for Persons With Disabilities, marked annually, on December 3.
Earlier in the day, the team paid a courtesy call to Kericho Governor Erick Mutai.
