Nakuru Muslim Community laud government for maximum security during Ramadhan

Nakuru Muslim Community has lauded government for ensuring maximum security during the Holy Month of Ramadhan.

Speaking in Nakuru during Eid al-Fitr prayers that marks the end of Ramadhan, Nakuru Muslim Association Chairperson Faez Ahmed Nasher stated that Muslims have had peaceful month of Ramadan that involved prayers and fasting.

He lauded the government for ensuring maximum security during the whole period of Ramadan.

“We have had maximum security throughout the Month of Ramadhan and we thank the security team for this,” he stated.

He revealed that Muslims had gathered in Nakuru’s Menengai High School Grounds, Shabab and Ramah Mosque for the Eid al-Fitr prayers.

On the issue of conflict in the citing of the moon, Faez Ahmed Nasher was categorical that such should not hinder or delay Eid al-Fitr prayers.

According to him, those who cite the moon earlier and those who cite it later should not create division, but rather unite in prayers.

“We all have one agenda to uplift the name of Allah. Those who have cited the moon today let them celebrate, but those who will cite it tomorrow so be it,” stated Nasher.

The Nakuru Muslim Association at the same defended the Nakuru Town West MP for donating to Muslim Community.

According to him, slaughtering is not a crime even during this Eid al-Fitr and that those who are able can go ahead to do the same.

Faez Ahmed Nasher also used the moment to thank President William Ruto for removing all the obstacles towards acquiring of National Identification Cards.

This, he said is a plus to the Muslim Community as many who had no IDs will now acquire them with ease.

He urged the Muslim youth who have no IDs to use the opportunity and ensure they have IDs for future endeavors.

The Muslim leader called on Muslims in community to share with the vulnerable during this Eid al-Fitr moment.

Sentiments echoed by Ahmed Muhmin who noted that Muslim Community in Nakuru remains united.

He pointed out that they continue to work with the national government on matters security.

Ali Sharif- a Muslim elder from Nakuru lauded the organization that has been in place in ensuring the prayers.

He called on Muslims to maintain unity during the Eid al-Fitr season and beyond.
