Bahati Member of Parliament Irene Njoki has lauded the National Government for taking a bold step to address land issues in parts of Bahati Constituency.

The MP noted that the move by Government to fast-track land adjudication process is key for the constituents.
This, she spoke on Wednesday during a meeting convened by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki at Karen in Nairobi.

It will be recalled that during a recent visit to Bahati constituency, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki pledged to address several key concerns raised by residents.
Top among them were the need to strengthen relations between the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) and communities, and the long-standing land adjudication delays affecting parts of the constituency.

The meeting convened by Deputy President is in fulfillment of that pledge.
It is a meeting that brought together officials from KFS, the Ministry of Lands, NGAO and the County Government of Nakuru.
MP Njoki revealed that the meeting yielded tangible outcomes.
Key among them is a commitment to embrace a community-led conservation model, and the green light to fast-track the land adjudication process.
