Kinuthia Mbugua calls for respect for those in leadership

Former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has called for the need for Kenyans to respect elected leaders.

Mbugua noted that once elections are over, there is need for Kenyans to respect those entrusted with leadership from MCA to President.

He pointed out that is the only way to ensure development agenda is realized, rather than unnecessary noise and exchange of words and incitement against those.

According to Mbugua who now serves as Personal Secretary to retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, Kenya has good leadership that should be supported always.

“We have to respect those in leadership and stop incitement against them. I still work for government of the day and I know we have food leaders including the President, so let us respect our leaders and support them,” he stated.

The former Governor was speaking in Nakuru’s Rongai, where he paid last respects to Mama Joyce Cheptoo Tuiya, a gracious soul whose leadership and tireless efforts for peace left a lasting mark on Nakuru and beyond.

Mbugua called on Nakuru residents to emulate the late in matters peace championing.

“She did not find time to work as elected leader or nominated though she tried until she was given her chance at Senator’s office. She will be remembered for her efforts in uniting the people,” eulogized Mbugua.

The former Governor lauded the late for ensuring her children were educated.

“She was a beacon of wisdom, compassion, and strength — the kind of leader who quietly transformed lives and built bridges where there were walls. Her legacy will continue to inspire us all,” stated Chelule.

Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika was represented by Political Advisor Joseph Ruto who called Nakuru residents to embrace peace and unity moving forward.

The burial service was also attended by area MCA Alex Lagat.
