He added that the authority of Church and stand taken by the Catholic Bishops should be respected by all as it supercedes any political stand.

Kalonzo challenged leaders to think of Kenyans first before making any decisions adding that politics of deceit and division have no room.
He at the same time called on the church to remember the nation in prayers against the atrocities including abduction of innocent Kenyans.
Sentiments echoed by DAP Kenya Party Leader Eugene Wamalwa who reiterated that as opposition leaders they stand with Catholic church on demanding accountability and the fight against corruption.
“The Church should be respected for the truth. Those condemning the church for fighting corruption should keep off,” he stated.
Wamalwa added that the country has learnt a lot and that Character is what will determine the next elections come 2027.
He called on Kenyans to keep off leaders with corruption record.
“Those with corruption record will have no room come 2027 because character is what will determine the elections,” he said.
On his part Waititu reiterated the need for leaders to speak the truth and fulfill the promises they make to Kenyans.
According to Waititu, Kenyans should vet leaders ahead of 2027 general elections and elect persons of character.
