Nakuru’s First Gentleman Sam Mburu is marking his birthday today.
Commonly known as Kiongozi among Nakuru residents and Kenyans as a whole, Mburu is the husband to Governor Susan Kihika.
He took to his social platform to indicate that indeed he was celebrating his birthday today.
“Thank God for this great day that i came to this Earth. Happy Birthday to me ,” he stated.
He began his entrepreneurial journey as a soft drink distributor in Nakuru.
Over time, he expanded his business ventures, becoming a significant figure in Nakuru’s business community.
Mburu is the founder and director of Landmark Freight Services, a clearing and forwarding company based in Mombasa with branches in China.
The company has over the years grown to be among leading clearing and forwarding companies in Kenya.
He owns various assets among them apartments in Nakuru, Nairobi, Kajiado, and Mombasa, along with a collection of luxury vehicles.
Though he keeps low profile when it comes to matters politics, Sam is known to be a close associate of President William Ruto and was actively involved in the United Republican Party’s (URP) campaigns back in 2013.
In 2022, Mburu played an integral part in the campaigns of his spouse Susan Kihika who went on to win the gubernatorial election and become Nakuru City’s third governor.
A philanthropist by nature, Mburu has continued to unite Kenyans through various charitable initiatives that aims to transform society.
