Nakuru Youth and Governance Chairman Daniel Kimani has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene in the ongoing drift within Jubilee Party.
In a phone interview,Kimani said the President who is also the party leader should now act.
He noted that the changes within the Jubilee Party should come after consultations.
According to Kimani, changes in the party officials should only come after National Executive Council meeting and the election of new members to represent each county.
While noting that youths are the majority members, the Nakuru youth and Governance Chairman says the Jubilee Party should also ensure more youths take up the leadership.
“Being that majority of members are youths,we want the party to ensure youths take over leadership with immediate effect” said Kimani.
According to Kimani,if this does not take place, then as youths they will take their position.
He adds that the youths are capable of of forming their own political party.
“The aim of creating Jubilee Party was to include everyone in the party and the youths should lest we march out and form our own political party” he said.
