
Nakuru Youth and Governance Chairman Daniel Kimani has welcomed the appointment of Njoro based Politician Johnson Mwamba Kinyanjui as a board member of the Central Rift Valley Water works Development Agency.
In a gazette notice no.2359, Mwamba has been appointed as one of the members of the Agency for a period of 3 years with effect from 4th February 2020.
The Board will be chaired by Brig. (Rtd) Stephen Kihu.
Other members of the Board include former Gilgil MP Nderitu Mathenge, Fransica Kamuren,Lorna Timanoi and Eng.David Kamau.
Addressing media in Nakuru Youth and Governance Chairman Daniel Kimani commended the move stating that Njoro had remembered.
He attributed this to the good leadership of Njoro MP Charity Kathambi who has always been keen not to cross the President’s line in terms of implementation of the Big 4 agenda.
According to the youth leader, the appointment shows that the President has confidence in the people of Njoro and Nakuru County at large since three of the appointments are from Nakuru.
He added that since Jubilee government came in place, Njoro residents have been appointed among them Kamau Kuria and former Njoro MP Kiuna.
“As people of Njoro and Nakuru as a whole we are happy for this appointment which shows that the National government led by President Uhuru Kenyatta has confidence in Njoro people and leadership as well as Nakuru County as a whole” said Kimani.
Kimani calling on other elected leaders to emulate MP Kathambi in ensuring development for the electorates through the Big 4 agenda.
It should be noted that Johnson Mwamba Kinyanjui unsuccessfully contested the Njoro parliamentary seat in 2017.
He has also been the Jubilee Party coordinator in Njoro Sub County.
He has also been active in matters peace and reconciliation advocating for the strengthening of National Cohesion and Integration Commission in order to tame hate speech.
