Why Wakili Ndumia’s rise in NTE Parliamentary seat race is rattling opponents in other camps

The rise of Wakili Boniface Githinji Ndumia in Nakuru Town East Parliamentary seat race 2027 is already rattling opponents in other camps.

This has been confirmed by the various discussions in Whatsapp and other social media platforms around Wakili Ndumia’s ambition to be the next Nakuru Town East MP.

When he announced some months ago that he will be contesting the seat, it came as a surprise to many who had already declared their interest.

Wakili Ndumia is well known in Nakuru Town East having been born and raised in Racecourse estate, and operated Notorious Matatu in Nakuru Town before he ventured into matters Law practice.

Despite other aspirants having declared their interest in the seat, many pundits argue that Wakili Ndumia with his experience in Law, business and good rapport with the people at community level, he will stands out as a strong candidate for the seat.

A close ally of Democracy for Citizens Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua, Wakili Ndumia believes in the Party’s slogan of listening to the ground and the people’s voice.

He is already engaging various groups on the ground through his introductory visits across all the Wards of Nakuru Town East Constituency.

Various charitable initiatives have also been rolled out targeting mostly the vulnerable groups such as PWDs, youth and single mothers.

Before that, Wakili Ndumia had organized a youth Tournament but he had to suspend it after he learnt of intelligence that some individuals and opponents were out to cause chaos during the Round of 16 best teams at Kamukunji grounds.

And as the saying goes behind every successful man there is a woman, Wakili Ndumia’s spouse Alice Githinji Ndumia is always spotted with him in various meetings providing a backup and support.

His father Senior Ndumia has also been of great support and a times physically attending the meetings.

In these meetings, Wakili Ndumia has always stated that he believes in family and as a caring husband and father, he will be able to take good care of the population in Nakuru Town East.

His vast network both in corridors of justice and private sector is also an added advantage he has against his opponents.

In various meetings, Wakili Ndumia says he will ensure several youths are absorbed both in private and public as opportunities arise.

Political pundits argue that if Wakili Ndumia continues with his spirit of meeting various groups and listening to their grievances taking notes, then it will not be a walk in the park for his opponents.

Other aspirants who have shown interest in the seat include Maina Wakabura, Bernard Nguruna and Wilson Mwangi, Fadhili Msuri among others.
