Why Wakili Ndumia postponed Barnabas meet the people meeting

Nakuru Town East Parliamentary seat aspirant Wakili Boniface Githinji Ndumia has revealed why he had to reschedule Barnabas meeting.

Wakili was to have a meet the people tour meeting at Barnabas Centre on January 10, 2026.

However, the meeting was postponed to a later date.

In a press release, Wakili Ndumia revealed that he did so to avert ‘perceived provocation and interruption’ of the ongoing UDA grassroot elections.

According to him, the UDA elections in Barnabas was to take place just opposite the venue of where his team were to hold  Wantam Rally at Barnabas.

Wakili Ndumia went ahead to explain that after consultations with the Team, and given the potential of a clash between his supporters and the state machinery – as the Barnabas area is strongly a Wantam zone – he for the sake of peace opted to reschedule the rally to next week after conclusion of today’s exercise.

He added that after covering every corner of Nakuru Town East, his team will e commence a roll- out of a mass registration of supporters to the DCP Party to secure Nomination come next year – under the DCP Ticket – as the Nominations will proceed on the basis of the DCP register.
