There seems to be a calculated plot by the Kenyan media about DP William Ruto. I don’t know why they are doing it, but the mainstream Kenyan media seems hellbent on driving a wedge between the DP and the dynasties who see him as a threat.
President Uhuru Kenyatta recently shook Raila’s hand. He says he’s not interested in 2022 election talks. As a peace-loving man president, Uhuru Kenyatta is currently focused on leaving a legacy as his second term comes to an end. Making peace with Raila and staying away from 2022 succession politics will ensure that he achieves both of these agendas.
Unfortunately, the daily papers have chosen to focus on these as messages to DP William Ruto. They have chosen to interpret these two moves to mean that UhuRuto is no longer a single entity.
To prove their hypothesis, the media chose to misinterpret President Uhuru’s every utterance to show the growing rift between him and the Deputy President.
I refuse to have my mind moulded by the media who seem to have a vendetta against Ruto. Their aim might be to deny him the presidency but unbeknownst to them, they might actually be spurring him to work even harder.
I refuse to believe that Uhuru will betray Ruto. He would like to leave behind a united country. He would like someone he can trust and count on to carry his agenda. And I think DP William Ruto is that one person. There seems to be a calculated plot by the Kenyan media about Ruth.
