Nakuru Politician raises concern over hard time vulnerable groups are facing

A Nakuru Politician has called on society to ensure the welfare of the vulnerable and more so the sick is taken care of.

Simon Ngugi Muigai from Subukia says the vulnerable are going through hard times occasioned by the stress of COVID-19 Pandemic.

Speaking when he distributed food to the vulnerable among  them the sick and elderly in Simbyon, Wei, Ligogo, Kimchoch, Maseno and Lower Kanyotu in Subukia, Muigai said the vulnerable lot should be considered.

“We need to give priority to the vulnerable during this COVID-19 epidemic,” said Muigai.

This even as locals from the area stating that the elderly and the sick have had difficulties as they cannot get out of their houses to look for food.

The locals led by Mary Muthoni were categorical that such lot need to be given priority.
“Such groups need to be given priority,” she Muthoni.
Similar sentiments echoed by Elijah Koskei, Stephen Yego and Mary Wanjiru.
