Rift Valley Regional Co-coordinator Wanyama Musiambo has assured that the search for the unfound two bodies of the Lake Nakuru Chopper crash will go on until the bodies are found.
Speaking on Sunday when he led the process of retrieving the wreckage, Musiambo stated that the multi-agency team involved in the recovery mission had not found the remains of the two victims and therefore the search would go on.
According to Musiambo, the team would carry on with the search as from Monday with focus being areas around where the helicopter wreckage was discovered.
“We are aware two bodies are yet to be found and therefore the search will go on till we get them. The team had also not found the tail boom of the chopper which is a key component required by the aviation department in their investigations” he said.
Investigations have commenced after the wreckage was retrieved and the probe will be carried out by the Air Craft Accidents Investigations Unit.
On her part, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika who three of the victims were part of his communication team, expressed concern over the duration of time the operation has taken and urged the team to continue with the mission until all the bodies are retrieved.
“I want to call for patience as the the government carries on with the search” she said.
