Truphena Muthoni appointed as the Ambassador of the 15 Billion Tree Planting Campaign

President William Ruto has appointed Ms Truphena Muthoni as the Ambassador of the 15 Billion Tree Planting Campaign.

The Head of State made the announcement whenoined President William Ruto as he hosted Truphena Muthoni, the young champion of environmental conservation at State House, Nairobi.

Muthoni showcased great courage, dedication and persistence in her 72 continuous hours embracing of an indigenous tree, to raise awareness locally and beyond borders on the importance of conserving the environment and the effects of climate change globally.

President Ruto has appointed Truphena as the Ambassador of the 15 Billion Tree Planting Campaign, a national initiative aimed at securing our Country’s environmental future and sustainability.

72-hours tree hugging champion Truphena Muthoni has been appointed ambassador of the 15 Billion tree planting campaign.

“As a mark of national honour for Truphena Muthoni’s exemplary service to environmental stewardship, I have conferred upon her the Head of State Commendation (HSC) Medal.” – President William Ruto.
