As a way of ensuring digital empowerment, 39 youths from Rhoda Ward in Nakuru Town West Sub-county have graduated after receiving basic computer skills at certificate level.
This is in line with the county government program on digital empowerment.
The County Government of Nakuru has continued to support such programs through bursary.
Under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika, the County Government of Nakuru has remained committed to equip young people with essential digital skills to unlock new opportunities in today’s world.
During the certificate issuance ceremony, area MCA Macharia Gachiri appreciated the County Government’s support in advancing tertiary education.
He lauded Governor Kihika’s support towards the same through increased bursary allocation.

Trade CECM Kuria Muiruri, Political Advisor Francis Njoroge, and Martin Gichinga from the Governor’s office commended the graduates.
The county officials highlighted how digital literacy enhances the ability for one to be employed, fosters entrepreneurship, and bridges the digital divide.
This even as the county government of Nakuru has expressed committment to preparing the youth for a tech-driven future.
