Naivasha based Charity group ‘The ZION SINGLEs Women Group has called on well wishers to step in and assist the less previlleged in society.
In a statement,the registered group which has been in operation since 2017 says with the current situation of Corona virus,then the less previlleged in society are really living in harsh conditions.
The group based in Hells gate ward of Naivasha sub county in Nakuru County has more than 50 members operating under the theme ‘OLD IS GOLD’ taking care of the less privileged in the society comprising of very needy, aged men and women, thus a fairly vulnerable population .
Through well wishers, corporate and personal contributions, ZION SINGLEs WOMEN GROUP has been feeding ,offering sanitation, comfort and clothing via charity collections and visits.
The beneficiaries of their services are majority residents of slum area of Karagita.
“Being a slum area, the level of helplessness is heightening with the current Corona virus related restrictions and expected sanitation hence need for assistance” read the statement.
ZION SINGLEs WOMEN GROUP has been pivotal in taking care of these 50 vulnerable families, notably during Christmas and related festivities.
The statement Togoes further to explain that, “To avert suffering from hunger and poor sanitation ZION SINGLEs WOMEN GROUP is appealing to people of good will to offer a hand in assisting these families during this times of great anxiety and uncertainties.”
“We appeal for donations of sanitizers,food items, bathing and laundry items, tissue papers ,mouth gaggles and related items” read the statement.
