Milestone as Nakuru West gets a new Division

Residents of Kaptembwa in Nakuru West Sub County have a reason to smile following the establishment of new Kaptembwa Division Office.

The Locals will now have an Assistant County Commissioner in a move to ease national government service delivery.

Speaking during the event to officially open the office, Nakuru Town West MP Samuel Arama called on administrators to serve residents without discrimination.

He said the establishment of the ACC’s office is a plus to the people of Kaptembwa Division as they will not have to walk longer distances while seeking services.

Arama stating that government officials should adhere to integrity while serving the citizens and avert engaging in vices that might hinder service delivery.

He warned Nyumba Kumi members from using their position to extort money from the members of the public.

“We have not brought here this office to be an avenue for corruption but our aim is to ensure service delivery to the people. We don’t want people to be exploited” said Arama.

The MP adding that he will continue to push for more sub locations and locations in the area to ease service delivery to the people.

His sentiments echoed by area Deputy County Commissioner Michael Lesimam who also sounded stern warning to government officials against interfering with service delivery.

He urged them to be content with the salary they receive from the National government and use the opportunity to serve the people.

“The Chiefs and ACCs are paid and that is enough. There should be no reason to ask money from members of the public so that you can serve them” he warned.
