Police in Kuresoi South,Nakuru County have launched investigations into an incident in which a woman was gang-raped and later died while receiving treatment at Olenguruone health facility.
According to police,a middle-aged woman was reportedly assaulted and gang-raped.
She died while undergoing treatment.
The incident has left the locals in shock.
However,police say all those who were involved will be brought to book with already two of the suspects arrested.
The members of the public have also been urged to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of the other 3 suspects who are in hiding.
A 31 year old man on Saturday morning presented himself to Menengai West Police station in Rongai,Nakuru admitting that he murdered Kipkemboi Tomno.
Julius Kipkemboi Kiplagat admitted committing the crime at Ol-rongai in Menengai division of Rongai subcounty.
Confirming the incident,Rongai Deputy OCPD Shadrack Magoha said the suspect had admitted the same after it emerged that the deceased had an affair with his wife.
“He admitted killing Tomno after realizing he had an affair with his wife” said the Deputy OCPD.
According to police,the body of the deceased had cuts on the chest as well as serious injuries on the head and other parts.
The body was taken to mortuary in Nakuru.
