Nakuru County assembly speaker Joel Maina Kairu on Friday led MCAs in paying last tribute to the late Lakeview ward MCA Karanja Mburu who perished last Sunday through a road accident.
The burial service was held at ACK Naivasha before the final rest at his farm in Karate.
While condoling with friends, relatives and family, speaker Kairu eulogised the late MCA a kind person who was always jovial and friendly to people around him.
He termed the late one of the MCAs who played a major role in the legislative work by tabling a Bill and sponsoring several motions aimed at transforming the livelihoods of Nakuru residents.
It is for this reason that Speaker Kairu has vowed to ensure the Nakuru County Disaster and Emergency Management Bill which is at the second reading stage goes through the final stage and becomes law in honour of the late.
“In his honour, we will as the assembly ensure the bill goes through and becomes law so as to accomplish Karanja Mburu’s dreams,” said Speaker Kairu.

While paying his last tribute, Kiragu added that the late was a vibrant, focused, open-minded and energetic leader.
“He wanted a better Lakeview ward, a better county assembly, a better Nakuru and a better Kenya as a whole,” said Kiragu.

He, however, was quick to note that the death of Mburu is not just an accident but several questions are left unanswered on what might have transpired.
