Nakuru will soon get a state of the art Radiology Center. This was revealed by President Uhuru Kenyatta while addressing mourners at Bomet during a requiem mass for the late Bomet Governor, Dr Joyce Laboso.
Another three radiology centres will also be set up in Longisa Hospital (Bomet), Garissa and Mombasa. The Longisa facility will also benefit from a Chemotherapy centre.
“By September, the Longisa hospital will have a functional chemotherapy centre for the treatment of cancer patients from this area. In addition, we shall also set up a radiology centre here,” revealed the President.
In addition, Nakuru will be another ten additional chemotherapy centres set up across the country according to the President.

MTRH as a Centre of Excellence to treat Cancer
In a bid to fight the cancer scourge that has claimed scores of Kenyans in the recent past, the President has revealed that the Government will set aside more funds for the treatment of cancer.
In addition, Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret will be upgraded for cancer treatment and as an oncology training centre. The Kenyatta University Hospital will also be opened next month and will be receiving cancer patients.
Another two hospitals, Kisii and Nyeri, will also be upgraded to be centres of excellence.
