Raila should give kenyans a break

Raila Odinga

Raila Odinga should give Kenyans a break of his unending rhetorics.
It can’t be that an independent institution qualifies to be independent because Raila has approved of its independence. IEBC and Parliament are constitutional independent institutions and it is not for him or any other member of his coalition to dictate on how the two will operate.
Raila has consistently continued to criticize Jubilee’s Majority in Parliament to an extent of terming their constitutional responsibility as “Jubilee madness”. Just incase he has forgotten, it’s through a majority decision that he won his petition at the SCOK so he should respect the majority in Parliament. It’s the decision of Kenyans to have majority legislators from the Jubilee party and affiliated parties.
Raila Odinga, does not have the monopoly of opinion towards institutions in this country and just like he is seeking to have reforms in IEBC through unconstitutional, chaotic means, Jubilee is advocating for reforms in IEBC through a constitutional process of legislation. Even NASA members can take part to ensure that the presidential repeat election is done in a free fair and credible manner.
Raila Odinga had said he is open and ready to dialogue with IEBC over his so-called irreducible minimums.  Unless dialogue and negotiations have changed meaning he can’t go to a dialogue or negotiation with a predetermined and conditional outcome.
Just like he has consistently told us that this country is bigger than Uhuru and Ruto, it is also bigger and important than him. It can’t be elections will be free, fair and credible if only he is declared the winner.
I heard him the other day say that the election laws before Parliament are Jubilee’s madness. He even added that Jubilee legislators belong to Mathare hospital. That’s an insult to not only the Jubilee legislators but also to the millions of Kenyans who elected them to represent them. I will not ask you to apologize to Kenyans because I know you can’t but kindly be prepared to receive a humiliating defeat from these mad Kenyans who mean well for this great nation on 26th of October.
