Hells Gate MCA John Njuguna is no more.
The Nakuru county assembly member succumbed on Monday at a Nakuru health facility where he was admitted.
The news of his death was received with shock by Nakuru residents on social media.
Nakuru Jubilee Party Branch Secretary General Mtumishi Cheruiyot was first leader to post the shocking news stating that he succumbed to COVID-19.
He noted that the MCA had been admitted at the facility after he started feeling unwell.
By the time of publishing this article,Mtumishi had indicated that the family had confirmed and was joined by Nakuru County assembly speaker Joel Maina Kairu.
Kabazi MCA Dr.Peter Mbae while sending his condolences,termed the death a shock.
He wrote on his Facebook, “It’s shocking that I have lost my colleague Hells Gate MCA Njuguna.”
The late MCA was chairman Security and Governance Committee at the County assembly of Nakuru.
He was also former Vice chair Health services Committee.
The body is to be taken to Umash Funeral Home.
His death is a big blow to Naivasha subcounty as Lake View Ward electorates are yet to elect a replacement of the late Karanja Mburu who succumbed in a road accident in April.
