Nominated MP Gideon Keter wants President Uhuru Kenyatta to waive copyright and patent fees. This he says will protect talents and innovations of young Kenyans.
Posting on his Facebook page, the youthful MP says he’s already in talks with the president about the issue.

“I am in talks with HE the President to waiver copyright and patenting cost so as to protect talents and innovations of young Kenyans,” writes Keter.
Keter says young Africans make up more than a half of Africa’s total population but unfortunately they are excluded, marginalized and made into a lost generation. He adds its time the young people used their numbers to voice out their presence to be included in government offices and decision-making processes.
Hon. Keter also reiterated the sentiments while attending the Universities & Colleges Student’s Peace Association of Kenya conference at 680 hotel Nairobi.
“We will not faint till the youth are given platforms to propel the economy of this nation,” says Keter.
