Nakuru County Public Health Chief officer Samuel King’ori has called on millers to ensure they sell quality flour free from aflatoxin to consumers.
Speaking at Gioto dumpsite in Nakuru on Wednesday when he led the destruction of several tones of maize flour unfit for human consumption,King’ori said as Public Health officials they will continue to do inspection in all outlets to ensure they comply.
“We are continuing with the operation and we call on Kenyans too to assist us in this”said King’ori.
The flour was found at Kanini haraka enterprises Naivasha branch.
The flour was netted following an operation by public health officers and was found to be having high levels of aflatoxin hence declared unfit for human consumption.
