Lion’s Club of Menengai in partnership with other like-minded organizations have continued to extend Charity work to needy and vulnerable groups in society.
On Saturday the Club in collaboration with Tobias Foundation,Women Like Us Centre,and Reach To Her campaign extended their charity work to Eldamaravine in Baringo.
Their destination was Simotwet Primary- one of the schools with special needs students in Eldamaravine.
The families living with these special needs children have been going through challenges especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.
However,the visit by Lion’s Club of Menengai and the other organizations was a sigh of relief.
The group donated blankets to the school.
They also donated food baskets to 20 vulnerable families.
Speaking at the School, President Lion’s Club of Menengai Ms Rani Ramchandani reiterated their commitment towards assisting the needy in society.
She noted that such charity work give hope to the vulnerable families who are facing it tough during the COVID-19 period.
The President Lion’s Club of Menengai promising to support the needy children in the school with medication and any other needs that the children might require.
“We’ve spent quite sometime with the special needs children as well as the families and as Lion’s Club of Menengai with out friends we shall offer support that we can including medication” said Ramchandani.
