Rotary Club of Nakuru has vowed to continue working closely with grassroot Women Groups towards improving livelihood.
President Rotary Club of Nakuru Rani Ramchandani said this is the only way to ensure such groups engaging in economic empowerment activities are boosted.
Speaking during a visit to Destiny Women Group in Nakuru West, Rani commended the group for the effort of the members in economic activities.
The group of women has been engaging in tailoring making handbags and other products for economic growth of the members, though has had a challenge of getting sponsors.
It should be noted that Rani started with the group washable diapers project and feeders which we will be given to persons living with disability as well as wheelchairs under her PWDs project.
She promised to support them in ensuring continued production.
“We will work together and boost this work you are doing in the community” said Rani.
During the visit, Rani donated foodstuff maize flour and bread to the group.
