Sombre mood engulfed Nakuru County Referral and Teaching Hospital mortuary as staff from County Government Health Department joined family and friends of departed colleague Carren Onbewa.
Carren lost her life in a tragic road accident at Sobea on Sunday August 17, 2025.
Until her demise, she was a Nurse Manager at the The Nakuru Referral and Teaching Hospital’s Annex Wing.
Her death is a profound loss to the healthcare sector and the County Government of Nakuru.
On Monday, healthcare workers gathered at the Nakuru County Referral and Teaching Hospital (NCRTH) mortuary to support her grieving family and honor a life dedicated to service.
According to the County department of health, Carren was widely respected for her transformational leadership, dedication, and compassion.
She embodied the highest values of the nursing profession and made a lasting impact on both staff and patients.
Governor Susan Kihika extended her condolences to Carren’s family, acknowledging her exemplary life and invaluable contributions in the Health Sector.
