Sombre mood as another victim of Nakuru plane crash is laid to rest

Somber mood engulfed Bahati sub county of Nakuru on Saturday as families, friends and relatives gathered during the burial of Veronica Muthoni, one of the Lake Nakuru plane crash victims.
Speaking at the burial, Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui called for speedy investigations into the root cause of the accident that claimed 5 lives.
“Kenyans want to know the report once the investigations are complete. The families of the five victims who perished during the October 21 accident want to know the cause” he said.
On her part, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika called on residents to avoid speculations on social media concerning the root cause of the accident.
She urged residents to always establish facts before sharing information on social media urging social media users to be sensitive to the families affected.
Kihika praised Veronica’s family for standing firm in their faith their daughter would be found despite some people advising they call off the search.
The burial ceremony was also attended by speaker Maina Kairu, Woman Representative Liza Chelule and Bahati MP Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri.
