Governor Kinuthia Mbugua asks Doctors to be humane

Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has furiously slammed at Doctors Union for choosing Nakuru as a county to launch the nationwide doctors’ strike.
Addressing media in Nakuru on Sunday, Mbugua said the strike is not just a mere strike but the county leadership is reading a lot from it.
He called on the doctors and nurses not to misuse their profession to punish the people of Nakuru who are innocent in the whole issue.
“As Nakuru leadership we are reading a lot from this strike and why the doctors chose to launch the nationwide strike in Nakuru. We are calling on the Doctors not to misuse their profession to punish Nakuru residents” he said.
Mbugua reiterated that the leaders are willing to sit and negotiate on the Doctors’ terms and conditions to ensure their grievances are addressed.
He however called on the Doctors to be humane enough and allow dialogue in trying to find a lasting solution o the matter.
“We know the doctors have raised their grievances and we respect the work they do, but we are just calling on them to ensure that they allow the negotiations” he said.
His sentiments come even as Health Cabinet Secretary Dr. Cleopas Mailu gave similar sentiments during Sunday Press Conference.
