Shelve 2022 politics and focus on development,President tells leaders

President Uhuru Kenyatta has appealed to political leaders to shun debate on 2022 politics and instead focus on development agenda.

Speaking in Mangu, Rongai sub County of Nakuru County during the burial ceremony of Businessman and Lawyer Karanja Kabage, the head of state was categorical that Kenyans are interested in development.

While eulogizing the late as a person who was committed to transform the lives of others, the President urged leaders to emulate the same in transforming the lives of Kenyans through development agenda.

“He was not just a businessman, but he focused too on transforming lives. As leaders we need to stop just thinking about ourselves and focus on development and transformation of Kenyans” said President Kenyatta.

Sentiment echoed by Deputy President William Ruto who called on political leaders to emulate the late Karanja Kabage when it comes to influencing policies of development.

The DP calling on all leaders to continue working closely with the government towards realization of the development projects.

“Karanja Kabage influenced policies in this country and as leaders we need to emulate the same in realizing development” said Ruto.

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga eulogized the late as a man who believed in hard work and excellence.He also pointed out that the late Karanja Kabage was on the forefront in fighting corruption and making Kenyans enjoy equitably.

Odinga a calling on Kenyans to emulate the same by living in peace and unity.

“He was a man who believed in hard work and on matters of corruption he was on the forefront in fighting the same hence need to emulate the same and make Kenya a better nation” he said.

On his part ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi termed the late as one individual who was always neat.Mudavadi adding that Kabage was a person who wanted Kenya that has good economy where everyone enjoys.

“He was very neat and wanted everything neat including Kenyan’s politics” said Mudavadi.

Others who addressed during the ceremony were Governors Lee Kinyanjui (Nakuru),Francis Kimemia(Nyandarua),area MP Raymond Moi, Friends and close business allies of the late.

The late Kabage leaves behind his wife Joyce Wanjiru Kabage, and 4 children.
