Shabab MCA-elect calls for enhanced security patrols

Shabab MCA-elect David Wathiai has urged police to enhance patrols in his Ward.

Wathiai was responding following an incident where Rugby player  AntonyKibet succumbed to stab wounds after he was attacked by unknown assailants on Saturday night in Nakuru.

MCA-elect Wathiai termed the death unfortunate.

“So infortunate that we have lost a great young Rugby player to stab wounds. I personally visited the OCS Kaptembwa office requesting for increased police patrol in Kenlands area. If police were on patrol this would not have been the scenario” he wrote on his Facebook page.

The MCA-elect called on security team to move with speed and ensure those behind the death of Kibet are brought to book.

Wathiai now wants patrols enhanced in his Ward specifically in Kenlands area where purpoted confirm gang has been terrorizing locals.

“Menengai Oilers Rugby Club would like to report that one of our players has succumbed to stab wounds following an attack by unknown assailants on Saturday night,” Oilers said in a statement.

Nakuru Police County Commander Peter Mwanzo said they have launched investigations into the incident.
