Operation on outlawed Confirm gang has been intensified in Nakuru.
On Monday March 4, 2024 at around 1800 hrs at Kibowen area in Rhonda Estate within Nakuru West Sub-county, a team of police officers (Anti confirm 1) while on Mobile patrol received information from members of the public that some members of the illegal confirm group had Converged at the said area.
Police officers rushed to the scene and managed to arrest seven suspects; (1)Dickson Asirutwa Otieno aged 22 years for being in possession kitchen Knife,35 grams of bhang and one phone make infinix Suspected to be stolen property,13 packets of Rizlas,1 digital weighing machine,1rolling flag,1 basin maroon in colour,1 small basin pink,1 tin small green and 1 ash tray.
He will also face the traffic charges of riding a motorcycle registration number KMGG 022 D that is Suspected to be used in ferrying the said Suspects of confirm.
Saidi Muhammad aged 19 years found being in possession of 35 grams of bhang, being in possession of 1 phone make Sumsang A03 Suspected to be stolen property, being in possession of 62 piece s of white polythene bags that was banned by Nema.
David Maina Wachira aged 24 years for being in possession of 35 grams of bhang, being in possession of 1phone make infinix Suspected to be stolen property.
Victor Odhiambo Odero aged 25 years found being in possession of 76 grams of bhang, being in possession of 1phone make Oppo F11 Suspected to be stolen property.
Clinton Otieno Oloo aged 19 years for being a member of confirm gang, being in possession 1 phone make Samhe Suspected to be stolen property also he will face the traffic offences of riding a motorcycle registration number KMFM 585T TVS red in colour without insurance,D/L , reflector jacket and helmet and carrying excess.
Kelvin Omondi Otieno aged 21 years for being a member of confirm,being in possession of 1phone make C31 grey in colour Suspected to be stolen property and also failure to Wear helmet and reflector jacket.
Abraham Otieno Ndong’a aged 24 years found being a member of confirm gang and also failure to Wear helmet and reflector jacket.
They were booked in custody to be charged with the offence of (i) Preparation to commit a felony (ii)Being Members of illegal group confirm (iii) Being in possession of Narcotic drugs(iv)Traffic offences.
All the items were kept as exhibits.
They will be arraigned before court on Wednesday 06/03/2024.
