Nakuru County Senator Susan Kihika has called on MCAs to ensure they play their oversight role without being compromised.
Speaking on Friday during the burial of the late Lakeview ward MCA Karanja Mburu who perished through a road accident, Kihika challenged MCAs to emulate the late.
While terming the late a leader who spoke his mind, Senator Kihika said it’s due to his urge of wanting things done in the right way that he earned respect even at national level politics.
He called on Nakuru MCAs to emulate Karanja Mburu’s fight for the rights of the common citizens.
While commending the Nakuru county assembly for passing supplementary budget towards fighting COVID-19, Senator Kihika also called on MCAs to ensure the money is used prudently.
“I call on the MCAs to go on with what Karanja Mburu was doing as far as oversight, legislation and representation is concerned. I thank you for passing the supplementary budget and I urge you to ensure the budget on COVID-19 is used well as per the wish of the late. Let the money reach mwananchi,” Said Kihika.
Meanwhile, Milimani Primary school in Naivasha will get a new bus courtesy Deputy President William Ruto.
