Seed Savers Network Kenya feted best exhibitor at 4th National Indigenous Seed, Culture, and Food Harvest Fair in Nanyuki

Seed Savers Network, was awarded Best Exhibitor in the NGO Category at the 4th National Indigenous Seed, Culture, and Food Harvest Fair held at the Governor’s Grounds in Nanyuki, Laikipia County.

The Gilgil-based NGO attributed this incredible recognition to the farmers who proudly represented over 120,000 farmers from 121 Community Seed Banks across Kenya.

“Their dedication, knowledge, and passion for indigenous seeds and agrobiodiversity truly shone through, showcasing the heart of our mission,” Seeds Savers Network Kenya stated in a statement.

The NGO lauded the outstanding farmers as ambassadors of the Community Seed Bank Platform, which was officially launched yesterday.

This move is a milestone initiative uniting farmers from diverse regions to share knowledge, strengthen seed systems, and build a resilient future together.
