Safaricom opens its Regional office in Nakuru

Communications company Safaricom on Wednesday opened its’ Regional office in Nakuru that will serve the Rift Valley region as the company take its operations closer to customers.
Addressing media after opening the The Headquarters located in the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru Plaza in Nakuru, CEO Bob Collymore said it will serve as a base from which the firm will run its operations within the Rift Region.
“The opening of this office marks an important milestone in our regionalization strategy.We are optimistic that it will go a long way in enhancing our business operations and in the long run strengthen our relationship with our customers” he said.
He added that Safaricom is still focused on offering the best customer experience with products and services that differentiate the company from other competitors.
According to Collymore, the other 5 regional offices will be based at Sameer Business Park to serve Nairobi East Region,Avenue Building in Nyali to serve the Coastal Region,and Nyeri Golf Area to serve Mount Kenya Region.
Other offices will be in Nairobi West and Nyanza/Western region and the regional Headquarters are expected to be operational by March 2017 providing all staff amenities and solutions.
Collymore at the same time revealed that Safaricom will work closely with Farmers in the Rift Valley region to boost their production.
He said the company is working to come up with a module to provide linkage between farmers and the processors to have value for their produce.
“One of the challenges is the low production by the farmers and we are working to come up with module that will help create a linkage between farmers and the processors” he said.
He urged Rift Valley residents to make good use of the regional office for their own good saying the company is committed in service delivery.
