Birthday is a day to celebrate the blessings in life, it is a day to celebrate the achievements and make a focus on what you want to do in the years to come.
Many mark this special day in various ways, just to make a mark as they add a year older.
For Rotarian Doris Bota who will be marking her 41st Birthday on April 23, 2024, she has chosen to do it different by donating 41 sets of complete uniforms to 41 needy pupils at Mureranjau Primary School in Kipipiri Constituency, Nyandarua County.
In an interview with famousnakuru.co.ke, the Rotarian noted that she saw the need to assist the vulnerable learners at the school that was started in 1963.
“My birthday is April 23, I turn 41, and I chose to donate 41 sets of complete uniforms to needy learners to mark the numbers,” she said.
Rotarian Doris who is a member of Rotary Club of Hurlingham Nairobi has a background in Global health.
She provides technical advisory on Water,Sanitation and Hygiene and Infection Prevention in Healthcare Facilities in one of the International NGOs.
The philanthropist also serves in a couple of Global and National Technical Working Groups.
Doris who was accompanied by Rotary club of Nakuru President James Yegon, Rift Valley Rotary Club Regional Co-ordinator Joab Okello as well as friends from Rotary Club of Prague International, challenged everyone in society to make change in society in the little way they can.
