Roll out of Roads projects in Bahati Constituency a plus to youth

Youth in Bahati Constituency have a reason to smile following a roll-out of numerous infrastructure projects under NG-CDF kitty.
These projects ensure better roads across the constituency and have seen youths get manual jobs.
Area MP Irene Njoki says with the initiation of road construction projects, a ripple effect of employment opportunities has surged throughout the constituency.

In an official communication to the press, the first-term serving lawmaker revealed that thousands of locals, the majority being young people, have found livelihoods in diverse roles.

The locals are engaged in menial jobs from clearing bushes and unclogging culverts to the skilled labour involved in installing culverts, and gabions and constructing stone-pitched drainage systems.
In addition, heavy equipment drivers and local food vendors cater to the appetites of those dedicated to building the constituency.
“This symbiotic relationship not only strengthens infrastructure but also creates a fabric of economic empowerment for our youths,” stated MP Njoki.
Already, several roads have been completed, some ongoing and others lined up for construction in Bahati Constituency.
Roads where carpeting is ongoing include, Bahati Upperhill – Morop (Bahati), Maili Sita – Kabatini (Kiamaina/Kabatini), Posta – Umoja 2 (Lanet)and Maili Saba – Karunga (Bahati).
Roads already completed include St Anthony Hospital-Heroes Road in Kiamaina Ward, Heroes-Kabatini Road, Kwa Amos-Muriundu Kabatini Road and Kabatini-Munguetho Road in Kabatini Ward
In Dundori Ward, Danger – Karuchwa – Mwirutu Road, Mathare – Kirima – Jemus Road and Methodist Road are also complete.
In Bahati Ward, Kendurum – King David – Bahati Forest Road is complete.
Meanwhile, road projects that are to be rolled out soon include Junction -B2-Wanyororo B-Garage-Jacaranda Road,
Junction 21 Heshima-Kirima-Menengai Forest Road, Tumsifu -Lanet Road,
Karunga -Bahati Road, Dundori-Milimani-Primary Access Road and Junction Ndege Ndimu-Ndimu Primary-Downtown Road.
