Rift MP’s differ on Ruto’s jubilee future

Two members of parliament from the Rift valley region have differed on the future of jubilee party following the ongoing wrangles within the ruling party.

Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi and his Soy counterpart Caleb Kositany have taken differing views on future of Deputy President William Ruto in the Jubilee party.

Sudi wants a meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and His Deputy William Ruto to iron out whatever differences the two might be having.

According to Sudi, the meeting which should be chaired by Kalenjin and Kikuyu elders will help in bringing the two back together and avoiding a fall out.

But on his part Kositany says that the marriage between Uhuru and Ruto is over and that their fallout cannot be reversed.

He blamed the fall out on the 2022 political succession something he says has brought the infighting within the jubilee party.

Sudi wants the President to call for a meeting with his Deputy and tell him where he went wrong and allow Ruto to apologize.

The political fallout between Uhuru and Ruto became more evident following the removal of Ruto supporters from powerful house positions within the Senate.

The jubilee party cleanup is expected to head to the national assembly where pro-Ruto members of Parliament are expected to be de-whipped from chairing house committees.
