Menengai East Ward residents have vowed to rally behind Wakili Boniface Githinji Ndumia in his bid for Parliamentary seat 2027.
In introductory meeting with Wakili Ndumia, the residents stated that for many years Nakuru Town East Constituency has been neglected.
They recounted numerous challenges that have been facing Menengai East Ward, but expressed confidence in Wakili Ndumia as a leader who will serve them and address the challenges.
Some of the challenges raised by the residents include lack of land Title deeds, unemployment and insecurity among others.
In his address, Wakili Ndumia assured the residents that once elected he will do all that he can to ensure that the issues raised are addressed.
He added that to end criminal activities and address the insecurity challenges, he will engage young people through conversation and empowerment initiatives.
According to him, drugs and substance abuse in society is one area that calls for civic education among youth.
“We will work together to address the challenges facing our constituency. First we listen to the people, and then make the right decision towards solutions,” he said.
Wakili Ndumia who has maintained that he will be doing introductory meetings with various groups in Nakuru Town East, stated that time is now for new leadership in Nakuru Town East Constituency.
He called on constituents not to repeat mistakes of 2022, but make the right decision on ballot come 2027.
