Raila and Oparanya forced to flee angry youth in Kakamega

ODM leader Raila Odinga was earlier today forced to flee after angry youths confronted him. During the scuffle that happened while Raila was visiting Kakamega to meet ODM delegates, a car was smashed and the public address system dismantled.

ya was on his way to Shibale slum when the youth confronted him led by former allay and ODM National youth leader Rashid Mohammed.
 
Raila was purportedly going to visit the slum area to empathize with those who were beaten by the General Service Unit in their search for guns and ammunition stolen from Booker Police post.

“Where were you when police were beating our youths and raping our women? We have no time for your stories,” Mr Mohammed is said to have asked Mr Odinga.
Residents of Shibale had come under the wrath of the police after seven guns and 184 bullets were stolen from the police post and were suspected to have been hidden here.
Two MCAs from Kakamega County who were in the company of the ODM leader were also beaten in the ensuing scuffle. MCAs Crispus Oduor and Rockie Omwando were also forced to free.
