Hundreds of Pyrethrum Growers through Cooperatives in Subukia Sub-County have undergone an intensive empowerment training program.
The program focuses on agricultural best practices to equip them with the necessary skills and capabilities towards increasing their pyrethrum yield and income generation potential.
This initiative, a collaborative effort between the County Government of Nakuru and the private organization Good People, seeks to enhance the productivity of pyrethrum farming in the region.
Speaking during the training, Chief Officer for Cooperatives Kibet Kurgat, lauded the training as an important platform for knowledge transfer and capacity building to empower local pyrethrum farmers and drive socio-economic development in Nakuru.
The farmers thanked Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment towards the move, reiterating their commitment to work closely with her Administration towards achieving socio-economic growth.
The CO was accompanied by the Subukia Cooperatives officers Xavier Lugaga.
