Psychiatric test should be mandatory for all elected leaders, says Nakuru MP

Bahati MP Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri has slammed his Embakasi East counterpart Babu Owino over his numerous public sentiments.
Addressing media in Nakuru on Tuesday, Ngunjiri called on Owino to stop issuing sentiments that do not add value but rather address issues on the floor of the National assembly.
“Babu Owino was elected to represent his people in the National assembly but not to be vocal out there and therefore I call upon him to face us in parliament and present his views there rather than inciting Kenyans” he said.
Ngunjiri says a time has come that all elected leaders should undergo a medical test as a requirement.
He says this will help know the kind of leaders who are elected and if they are able to handle issues affecting the common citizen.
“I am asking the government that we can consider amending the laws so that every elected leader undergoes psychiatric test to know whether they are sane or insane. This will help shape this country” he said.
