President William Ruto launches Chekalini Market construction Project in Lugari, Kakamega County

The Kenya Kwanza government is committed towards investment in market infrastructure.

President William Ruto says this will ensure a cut in food losses by about 40 per cent.

In turn, this will guarantee farmers and traders more earnings to support more livelihoods in the country.

The Head of State was speaking in Lugari, Kakamega County, when he launched the construction of the Chekalini Market.

President Ruto was accompanied by Speaker of the National Assembly  Moses Wetangula, Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa, several MPs and MCAs.

Meanwhile, President Ruto has reiterated that the government is committed to double the supply of subsidized fertilizer in Kakamega County to 300,000 bags to enhance production.
