President Ruto’s strong message to police during a meeting with Nakuru Leaders

President William Ruto has called on National Police Service members to play their role of protecting Kenyans with diligence.

The head of state who spoke during a meeting with Nakuru Leaders at Statehouse, was categorical that Police officers have a role to protect Kenyans from criminals.

“The National Police Service must boldly discharge its constitutional role of protecting Kenyans and their property from criminals — be they in civilian or uniform,” he stated.

He called on The Independent Police Oversight Authority to be more proactive in swiftly dealing with rogue elements within the ranks.

The Head of State in Wednesday At State House, Nairobi, hosted grassroots leaders from Nakuru County led by Governor Susan Kihika and Cabinet Secretary Lee Kinyanjui.
