President Ruto meets Harambee Stars, promises more goodies for every win in the CHAN qualifiers

President William Ruto on Monday morning met Harambee Stars players at a a Nairobi hotel to congratulate them for their win against Morocco

Speaking during the event, President Ruto noted that unity has always propelled Kenya forward.

He called for the need for every Kenyans to shun divisive politics.

“We must never allow negativity, failure, or doubt to prevent us from reaching our full potential. If we believe in ourselves and refuse to let division or hate enter the equation, Kenya can become the great nation we all dream of,” he stated.

The Head of State added that the Harambee Stars are proof of what unity can achieve adding that they have brought the country together and we are all witnessing the success it is bringing to the nation.

“We stand behind you, praying that this time we win will CHAN because it’s within close reach,” he said.

The President met the team to congratulate them on their victory over Morocco and their historic qualification for the CHAN knockout stages.

He also struck a deal on rewards adding that a win against Zambia next Sunday will earn each player KSh2.5 million.

If they triumph in the quarter-finals, the President said each will be gifted KSh1 million and a two-bedroom affordable housing unit in a location of their choice.
