Preparations are on top gear for the Ogiek Cultural Event.
This will be the 6th Annual event for the Ogiek Peoples’.
According to a poster seen by famousnakuru.co.ke, the event will be held on August 15, 2025 at the Ogiek Cultural Centre Nkareta in Narok County.
The event that is being planned by Ogiek Peoples’ Development Program, will see members of the Ogiek Community gather to share more and showcase the various aspects of their culture.
Other communities and guests will also have chance to learn about various aspects of the Ogiek Peoples.
This include the traditional food, their tradition attires as well as their cultural beliefs.
This coming at a time that Ogiek are still demanding that Government implements the Arusha Landmark Ruling that recognized their rights as indigenous peoples who are hunters and gatherers as well as conservators and their ancestral land in Mau.
